The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home that has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish here not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and check here permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
